Dive Right In

We really have a lot of projects we need to finish, backdrops need blocked, details need added, costumes need sewn, props need made....and to do that, we need lots of helping hands.  If you can make a work night soon, please do!  Check the right side list to see work night opportunities in the future.  I try to keep it as current as possible, and we add dates often.  Email me at emilymichellescott@gmail.com, if you would like to receive my emails about NOLA work nights.
There WILL be wine and snacks!  We PROMISE!

"I am not an artist" will occasionally get dropped by someone considering attending a work night.  It is a talent, but also a skill you can gain with practice.  We haven't had a person we couldn't put to work yet!  A little hands-on art leaves you with a satisfaction that very few things in life provide- immediate, completed accomplishment.

People also hesitate to do something that they might 'mess up'.  For me, the confidence to push forward is usually fueled by the knowledge that the worse case scenario is I have to re-paint something.  It seems like we seldom make mistakes on these projects, I attribute it to the fact that raising money for the altar needs is God's will, and He gives us the grace to succeed in things way above our actual abilities.

Thanks to the models, who have been coordinating fittings and committing to sitting as live paintings.    Thanks to Kelcy Mohr, who is coordinating a couple exciting additions to enhance our original vision.  Thanks to Randi Marino for coming to photograph our projects, and Tina Doering for all her time and commitment to the projects we have been doing.

See you tomorrow!
