Getting Back Into the Groove

It's that time again when my basement becomes a studio and art is on the brain.

Our first few work nights have been great - we've accomplished a lot in such a short time!  The new collection has not been completely picked yet, but we have decided on some old ones we will revisit and some new ones we want to show.  I will begin a post with the new collection soon, and update it as  we add to it.

Here are some photos from our first work night:

In one night we got the Vetriano (are you excited?) canvas stitched and blocked

Even the little ones can help!  This vibrant background will be gorgeous.

Some people passed out.  This guy wasn't even invited.  Go home, er..upstairs, Wilson.

Painting stripes on a jacket for a Morisot.
Sewing an apron and marking up a t-shirt.
Loni and Wilson taking a break.
Thank you to everyone who came to help!  I greatly appreciate all the time you put in to work on this huge fundraiser.

Also, a special thank you to Loni McCullom who put in several hours of preparation work and time, and offered her home for the second work night.  Well done!

Keep your eyes on the tab to the right, I should be adding more work dates soon!  See some of you tonight at the Altar Society meeting, I will bring some projects, they will bring the snacks!
