Forging Ahead

Hey Artists!

Today is the 17th...one month to go! Note the side panel, due to conflicts and needs, changes have been made to the schedule. Please come help on nights that work for you, we could use it!

Thanks to Maureen Do who hemmed every black curtain we will need at the event! She took them away not started and brought them back finished perfectly....thanks lady!

Saturday a whopping 13 people showed to prime/paint/staple pieces to the frames....leaving little frame work left to be done at my home! They also inspired me to set up another work day this Saturday, out at my aunt's home. Thank you Melissa Real, Sonya Brinkman, Gretchen Postiglione, Danell Oxler, Jody Elson, Melissa Gerlach, Brenda Munds, Pat and Kathy Harter, Valerie Whitely, and Erin and Riley Harter for your HARD work! All your sweating and soreness was not in vain....these frames will be used for years to come! Thanks Jody and Melissa for the baked goodies!
Here is my yard....like what I've done with the place?

The work night was pretty sucessful as well. Heather Vitteri, Melissa Real, Gretchen Postiglione, April Osborn, Erin Osborn, and Tina Doring put in time and talent and the event is finally coming together! Thank you all....we could not do this without you.

....see this mirror? It's the backdrop to a Manet piece...and if you get your angle right, you should be able to photograph yourself in the backdrop of this painting as you view it the night of! And....I can check it off my list as we are done!

I want to extend a special thank you to this lady, Melissa Real, for her endless time and support in this event. She is at everything she can possibly be at, she steps in and gets going, works hard, brings snacks :) and will do just about anything we need, then stays late to help clean up! She volunteers to come at extra times and works with a great attitude....even when her life is hectic! Thanks Melissa! (not to slight everyone else, I value ALL of your work!)

Danell Oxler and many others have been working with the families of the St. Anthony Family Shelter to make Starry Night chairs for the event. Thanks all, they are really looking sharp!

See you all on Saturday at the work day!
