Hey Artists!
It has been a while since I updated the blog, and A LOT of different areas of the art are getting well underway, so let me break it down for you:

Painting
Lots of time has gone into painting, thanks especially to Melissa Hughes and Heather Vitteri for putting in some overtime! Heather is working on a beautiful backdrop at her place, she sent me this photo (Heather and Jose) of them posing much like the models will that night! So much fun. Heather and I also went to get free paint thanks to the city and a tip from Meghan Hayes! The park scene Seurat piece will hopefully be done before tonight and a new one up!

Construction
A lot of cardboard was purchased (discount courtesy of Pratt Industries!) and we will soon be painting it and placing it in to fill in the wood frames. We need staple guns. We also need people who can help with drilling and putting in hinges and fitting and cutting the cardboard.

Costuming/Sewing
Paulette Cain and I have been meeting and planning in detail how to pull off elaborate costumes. Thanks Paulette for all your hunting and sewing! Thanks to Maureen Do, who is working on curtains to sit inside the frames before unveiling a new painting. Thanks also to Kelcy Mohr, who in addition to being a model with her baby Annabelle, is also working with her grandmother to sew her own costume! Also, thanks to all the other models who have been stopping in: Michele Riter, Mike Wagle, Therese Blyn, Heather Poland, Pat Harter, Dayna Barlow, Lexi Kasitz, Grace Hesse, Glen Fondaw, Jenae Hesse, Melissa Real, Bill Frailey, Jose Vitteri, and Lynette Murphy...you all are so flexible!

Make-up
Jane Hutsey has kindly agreed to head up the make-up committee and she is really good with all the artsy stuff we are trying! Kyle Lallemand has put in lots of time planning and working out make-up methods as well. We plan to do more! Thank you Jessica Aldrete and Melissa Real for coming to work on make-up!
Pretty cool stuff, huh?

So, there is a workday tonight, you may have seen on the side panel....see you all then? :)
